Saving the Voiceless in Texas
Texas is facing a devastating animal crisis. Shelters are overcrowded, animals are being euthanized in mass numbers, and countless dogs are abandoned, abused, neglected, and left to suffer on the streets.
Green Mile Dogs Rescue works tirelessly to save as many lives as possible.
● We rescue dogs from:
● Cruelty and neglect cases
● High-kill shelters
● Streets and rural dumping areas
● Abandonment situations
● Medical emergencies
● Starvation and abuse conditions
● Our rescue provides:
● Veterinary care
● Emergency medical treatment
● Food and supplies
● Vaccinations and prevention
● Spay/neuter services
● Transportation to adopters and. rescues nationwide
● Safe foster placement and boarding
The need is overwhelming.
Currently, our boarding expenses alone exceed $1,400 every week. That does not include veterinary care, medications, surgeries, food, transportation, prevention, or emergency medical treatment.
The lack of fosters and the overwhelming need across Texas has drained our resources, but we continue because these animals deserve a chance to live.
How Sponsorship Helps
Your sponsorship can help provide:

● Food and supplies for rescued dogs
● Boarding for homeless animals
● Heartworm treatment and medications
● Spay/neuter surgeries
● Transport to safe homes and rescues
● Medical rehabilitation for abuse survivors
● Prevention for fleas, ticks, and heartworms
Recent Rescue Stories
Bruno
Bruno was being prepared to be used as a bait dog and was purposely starved so he would be too weak to fight back. The moment we received the call, we immediately jumped into action and saved his life. Today, Bruno is healthy, safe, loved, and thriving.

Little Lady
Little Lady was one of 37 dogs we rescued from a horrific cruelty case. We received a call from the District Attorney handling the case and immediately stepped in despite being a very small rescue. The dogs were severely emaciated, injured, and sick. We have struggled financially to cover the overwhelming medical and boarding costs, but we are incredibly thankful these dogs are now safe and thriving.

Pepper
Pepper is a beautiful Cane Corso rescued just days ago. She was found severely emaciated, in poor health, and suffering from severe cherry-eye in both eyes. Pepper requires extensive medical care and rehabilitation. Despite having virtually no funds remaining, we could not bear to leave her suffering.
